Top Ten Tuesday!

It’s back!  It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday!  Today over at The Broke and the Bookish the theme is books I’d love to see as movies/tv shows.  So click below to see my Top Five YA books I’d love to see made into movies/tvshows!

1.  Legend by Marie Lu:  I hesitated putting this on the list just because dystopian thriller type books have been done so much but this series is so good.  I think anyone would enjoy June kick butt on the big screen.

2.  The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan:  So the Percy Jackson movies didn’t do so well but I blame that on the fact that the movie makers changed so much!  I would love to see the Kane siblings get there own shot at being on the big screen since Egyptian mythology in so interesting (or since they have made the series into a graphic novel they could turn into a cartoon series!).  But please film makers, stick to the book this time.

3.  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs:  Ok, ok, ok, this one is a bit of a cheat because they are already making this into a movie but i’m still super excited about it.  It is an unusual book that uses old timey photos so show off some of it’s more unique characters so i’m really curious to see how they pull them off in the movie.  Asa Butterfield will be playing Jacob (you may know Asa from playing Ender in the film version of Ender’s Game).

4. and 5.  Palace of Spies by Sarah Zettel and The Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger  I put these together because I would love to see either (or both) as a TV series.  Both have a fun balance of old world rules, manners, and main female characters fighting what is “expected” of the society wise while still be exciting, thrill seeking, spy mysteries.  I would watch that show any day.

What books do you want to see on your home tv or on the big screen?  Let me know in the comments!
