Book Spotlight!

Today’s Book Spotlight is on The Dream Thieves by: Maggie Stiefvater.

Dream-Thieves-CoverAgainst all odds, Blue Sargent has become friends with the Raven Boys, a group of students from the Aglionby Boys’ Academy that the residents of Henrietta, West Virginia know to stay away from. But it’s hard not to become friends with people after you’ve had an adventure in a magical disappearing forest where the laws of time and space don’t seem to apply. So it’s only natural that she wants to spend the summer with them, going on their crazy quest to find a long-dead Welsh King.

But one of the boys, Ronan Lynch, has a dangerous secret. Whatever he dreams of, he can produce in the real world. He can bring puzzle boxes, ancient artifacts, even cars. But he can also bring nightmares into the world; towering beasts, part raven, part man who want nothing more than to rip him to shreds with their razor sharp claws. Ronan can usually control what he brings from dreams, but it’s getting harder and harder for him to keep those nightmares at bay.

If this isn’t bad enough, Blue and the Raven Boys have woken up long-dead magic in the town of Henrietta, and this has drawn fortune seekers from all over the globe. Most of them are harmless, but more and more of them are becoming ruthless cut-throats in their quest to find the source of this magic. And one in particular is very interested in Ronan Lynch. He will stop at nothing to find him and to abuse the power he has.
