The West Baton Rouge Parish Library had it’s first meeting of the new anime club on Tuesday, September 30th. Seven teens showed up and watched two episodes of anime, enjoyed several Japanese snacks like mochi and Pocky, and made and ate their very own onigiri, Japanese riceballs flavored with seaweed.
The anime club will meet once a month from to watch and discuss anime. The meetings will be on the second to last Saturday of the month from 2:30-5:00pm. Membership is open to any teenager ages 13 and up. If you’d like to sign up, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll help you take care of it. The next meeting of the club will be on October 25. Come in and bring a friend!
